The NIOSH National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) is a federal laboratory dedicated to worker safety and health issues concerning personal protective technologies.  The NPPTL is organized to perform product evaluation, policy and standards development, and research activities.  Priorities for the lab include Science Excellence and standards focus.  In addition to the NPPTL portfolio of research, evaluation and development programs the laboratory is leading in management of the Personal Protective Technology Cross Sector Programs for NIOSH.
